Ward Memorial Hospital is a Level IV Trauma Center - currently licensed as a 25 bed Critical Access facility providing quality healthcare services to 14 surrounding counties.
Governance:
Ward Memorial is a county owned hospital governed by an eight member Board of Managers. Hospital board-members are appointed by the County Commissioners and County Judge.
Mission Statement:
The Mission of Ward Memorial Hospital is to provide the residents of Ward and the surrounding communities quality emergency and health care services. The hospital's mission is to maintain wellness and improve health in an ethical, consistent, fiscally responsible manner, and to perpetuate the future of this institution and the integrity of equal access.
Vision Statement:
Ward Memorial Hospital's Vision is to maintain Health Care leadership in Ward County and rural West Texas, while providing quality care, at a cost-effective price. WMH's Vision will be accomplished through education of staff, new technologies, and through the hospital's strategic plan while maintaining a modern and well equipped.
